Specialized Companies. One Strong Organization.

WRG supports two operating companies:

Rice Lake Construction Group

Since 1984, Rice Lake has constructed and rehabilitated municipal water and wastewater facilities, along with industrial and commercial projects, across the Upper Midwest and Great Plains.

Rice Lake West

Since 1997, Rice Lake West has specialized in constructing and rehabilitating municipal water and wastewater facilities across the Mountain West and western Great Plains.

A Broader Bench Behind Every Project Team

Complex projects require more than qualified people at the jobsite. They require coordinated support across preconstruction, project controls, safety, technology, equipment, finance, and operations.

When conditions change or a project requires additional resources, our companies can draw from expertise across the organization. This creates greater capacity and consistency without adding unnecessary layers between the project owner and the team responsible for delivery.

WRG gives project teams access to:

Specialized Expertise

WRG provides specialized in-house services that help project teams plan more effectively, improve coordination, and make informed decisions throughout the work.

Our Virtual Design and Construction team uses digital modeling, laser scanning, field data, and model-based workflows to improve constructability and coordination.

These capabilities help teams identify conflicts, visualize sequencing, verify existing conditions, reduce rework, and improve schedule predictability before work reaches the field.

Our collaborative delivery professionals support CMAR, Progressive Design-Build, and Design-Build projects from early pursuit and planning through execution and closeout.

By bringing owners, engineers, construction teams, and key stakeholders together early, we help establish clear expectations around scope, cost, schedule, risk, constructability, and project outcomes.

Our Commitment to Safety

Safety is a core value that guides how WRG companies plan, manage, and perform their work.

Our centralized safety team provides consistent standards, training, technology, field support, risk assessment, and accountability across the organization. These systems help teams identify hazards early, respond effectively, and continually strengthen performance.

Protecting our team, project partners, clients, and communities is fundamental to successful project delivery.

Successful Projects Start With Strong Teams

WRG’s culture is built around professionalism, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Our team includes experienced construction leaders, technical specialists, skilled professionals, and dedicated operational support. Many have built long careers within WRG companies, creating a depth of institutional knowledge that strengthens decision-making, team development, and project performance.

These values create consistency across our companies while giving teams the support and trust they need to perform at a high level.

Across the organization, we share clear expectations for how we
work:

  • Put safety first
  • Act with integrity
  • Deliver quality work
  • Continue learning
  • Build strong relationships
  • Support one another
  • Follow through on commitments

Build a Career Supporting Complex Construction

WRG offers opportunities to develop expertise, take on meaningful responsibility, and contribute to complex projects across water, industrial, and commercial construction.

We invest in structured training, mentoring, leadership development, technical certifications, and hands-on learning. As the organization grows, team members have opportunities to expand their capabilities and pursue new paths across construction, project management, technical services, safety, technology, finance, equipment, and operations.

Clear Accountability. Deep Resources. Built to Deliver.

WRG strengthens specialized construction teams with the expertise, systems, and organizational capacity to deliver essential water and wastewater infrastructure.
